Use of People

Do you know what your greatest business asset is? If you think it's an inventory of products or a service offering, you must learn anew. The products and services you sell, are the company's, not yours. People are your greatest asset! Your prospects, customers, and your assosiates, upline, and downline. You should invest heavily in your greatest asset. Spend time with people, teach them, share with them, encourage and build them.

Security in direct sales is acheived only when you help others get what they want. The more you give, the more you'll get. It's difficult to reach even your smallest goals without providing value to others. And the bigger your goals and desires, the more you will need to learn to focus on the acheivement of others in your business.

The world teaches that the only way to get ahead, is by stepping on or climbing over others. How many times have you heard comments like these: "There can only be one winner", "second place is really only the first looser", "winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing". It's ironic because in this industry, the more you focus on what you want, and ignore what other people want, the less likely you are to get what you want! And the reason why most people live a life of desperation and lack, is because success happens when you focus on the needs of others, not yourself.

There are three keys to embracing encouragement as a literal transformative skill in your life, and the lives of those you influence each day.

  1. Encouraging yourself. It's important to recognize that you are in the game, in the hunt, in persuit of a better life. Look in the mirror every day and embrace who you are. Accept some personal encouragement about what you have done, what you are doing, and what you are going to do today that is going to bring you closer to your greater causes and higher purposes.
  2. Accept encouragement from others. Accepting encouragement from others is not just about you. Accept the encouragement that others give you, as the gift it is. It's noble and necessary as an acknowledgement that you also appreciate them, and their desire to thank the universe for blessing their life through you. Doing this will bless you, and the giver.
  3. Giving encouragement to others. This is the gift that you give back for all you've been blessed with. Your simple words of encouragement can have a profound effect on someone else's life. When you encourage people, you're giving them a reason to persue their goal or dream. Winston Churchill said this: "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."

Ask yourself this question: "what can I do right now to create value for someone else?" Make friends and become more likeable. The number one reason why anyone buys from you or enrolls in your business, is because you offer them encouragement, opportunity, and help to create the life they want.
